Can you assign a DID to and extension and then move it to another ext for instance did is 777-0104 sassigned to ext 104
I want to assign the did to ext 134. I know how to do this on IP office and NEC but am not sure how the whole DID assigning works.

On the Merlin Legend you renumber the extension to match the receive digits sent by the service provider. They are most likely sending 2 or 3 digits. to make both ring you could program a primary coverage button on the other extension.

if it's only a few DID's that need rerouting, you can use dial plan routing to strip 3 digits, and add the correct extension, or group ( in this case 134).
If it's a temporary situation,or you need both numbers to go to 134, then you can forward 104 to 134, or as nuklhead said, put a coverage button on 134 covering 104.
