I work for a local phone company and I provided 4 analog did trunks to my merlin magix with a 800 DID card. I am have problems with calls disconnecting, card locking up. My COE dept says I need to program answer supervison, but only place I find that is under TIE trunks..Tried different 800 DID card and same thing... Also tried multitech callerfinder analog DID adapter and same problem, dropped calls and one-way conversations...

Is this a COE switch issue or magix switch issue?

Analogue DID trunks ARE polarity sensitive! If you have the polarity wrong this could cause that type of condition. Also as Tim mentioned above, you must have the correct start type for both switches.

What configuration did you order? dial-pulse or DTMF and WINK, DELAY, or IMMEDIATE start...

You can use your buttset to make test calls and verify the TIP/RING polarity and answer supervision. Most CO switches: 5ESS, DMS10, DMS100, etc. provide only one-way transmission until they receive answer supervision. It is fixed in Legend/Magix software for the call type or condition.
