PhDude,
Really the only test that you as an installer would use is the connectivity test. Enter 100 and watch for the coded results. You can specify which port to test.
This test runs in three stages. If any one stage fails the test stops.
Stage 1 tests empty ports and test equipment on connected ports
Stage 2 disables empty ports and runs a read/write to the port; and
Stage 3 diables all modules associated to that port and runs a read/write test.
Results (in short form)
00 - invalid port entry
01 - stage 1 pass; KSU device prot is receiving signals properly. If no voice connection, problem is with device;
02 - stage 1 pass; KDU trunk pt is receiving signals properly. If trunk has no vice connection problem is with the external line, 25pr cable or cross connect;
03 - stage 1 pass; KSU trunk crt is receiving properly. If trunk has no voice connect, problem is with the TC, external lline, 25 pr cable or cross connect;
04 - stage 1 fail; no singaling to KSU based device - others will work. Problem is llikely with TCM line, device 25 pr cable to KSU or cross connect;;
05 - stage 1 fail; no signal to this SM based device, but other devices on this SM work. Problem is likely the TCM line, device, 25 pr cable to the to SM, cross connect or the SM;
06 - stage 1 fail; no signaling to any KSU based device. Problem is likely with the 25pr cable to the KSU or the cross connect;
07 - stage 1 fail; No signalling to any device on this Norstar bus. Problem likely with 25pr cable to moldule, the module, the DS30cable or expansion Crt;
08 - stage 3 fail; A KSU based fault was detected. Replace KSU;
09 - Stage 3 fail; fault detected in expansion crt. Replace expansion crt.
