Do you guys know if there is a way to delete the SM/SIP account in Session Manager and leave the associated CM account/extension untouched? The issue is we created a lot of the current users in SMGR/SM and now just want to administer them as H323 accounts in CM.

Thanks in advance.

I am trying to figure out the exact opposite. I permanently deleted a user in the user management, but it won't let me delete it from the CM because of the user ID xxxx@xxxxx.com. I don't know where this is to even remove it.

jerakin: there's a field in the user's CM profile "Delete Endpoint on Unassign of Endpoint from User or on Delete User" which in a convoluted fashion means "if I delete this guy in System Manager, should I delete it in CM?"

JJacobs, in "user management", under "more actions" you "show deleted users" and kind of have to double-delete them from your proverbial System Manager recycle bin. Maybe that's what you're looking for...

Yeah, I already performed the double delete. I thought I had the check mark in there, as I have deleted people before. Just not sure how to clear it after you have performed the double delete. Because it still remains in the CM for some reason.

why can't you remove it in CM? What user ID is associated to that and what's your error in trying to remove the station?

It just highlights the user in yellow and says "Endpoints that have associated users will not be deleted". But if I have "double deleted" the user in User Management I am not sure where this user is associated.

Maybe corruption in System Manager - maybe just delete it from CM and initialize a sync between CM and SMGR at night to see if it eliminates it?

What release? I think I've maybe seen something similar before in 6.3.2, but certainly not normal behaviour as you're describing it.

System Manager 6.2. We barely use it, hence the reason I forgot how to properly delete a user. I believe I had this problem before, where when you delete a user, and them try to remove from the CM it stays attached to the xxx@xxxx and won't let you remove. For the life of me I can't remember how to disassociate that. But I didn't do the double delete that time. It won't even let me delete from CM. Guess at this point we will see what Avaya says. Thanks!

Haha, yes, yes they will. I might, if I ever have the time!
