As I recall, Windows saves profile info based on hardware configs. For example it knows when your PC is docked/closed with dual external monitors vs sitting on the conference room table running on the built-in LCD.
Is it possible to delete ONE of those hardware profiles without nuking the entire user profile?
I have a Dell E6500 with an Nvidia chipset. it works beautifully out and about, or at home with an external monitor plugged into the displayport socket.
However when I am docked, my system hangs several times per day (sometimes twice an hour) where it goes unresponsive, etc. half the time it shows the wifi connection is disconnected and then reconnected)
If I run the snip tool the system will hang for up to 60 seconds before the screen goes black and then snip tool opens.
If I CTL ALT DEL it will hang for 30-60 seconds, the screen goes black momentarily, and then it shows the appropriate menu.
Any ideas?
