Trying to remember the setup to dial into a Definity One - TN795 or TN2314 - been a couple of years. I remember it being like the connection setup for getting into a LX1000 remotely??

I established the dialup connection via modem but I don't remember if I setup the IP connection via ASA or browser as I need to setup for port 23 and don't think I can make that setting thru the IE browser - bt I can thru ASA for an IP connection. Have all my logins etc - just need a refresher in the connection and login process.

Actually an S8100 not a Def One - as it is the TN2314 w/ R11 SW load - but should be the same remote connection setup steps.

You do the dial up like you stated, then launch your browser, put in the IP of the processor, login there and ASA launches from inside the browser. I think =) !

It's been a while.

Thanks Rockspop - don't know that I can "launch" ASA inside a browser. Can setup ASA for IP connection but that fails when I try to connect to the switch's IP address and port 23 config - after I connect via the dial up connection.

Try port 5023.

There's a link "buried" in the browser for doing the system admin via ASA, isn't there?

Has to be Port 23 as that is the port setup on their S8100 - TN2314 Processor for IP

RP - thanks - The only problem is they only have the New Connection Wizard for WIN 95 & WIN2000 - none for XP and it is a bit different.

I get to login but the docs show I have to login with rasaccess but don't have the default PWD. I have the switch login/PWD but not the Ras....
