Does anyone know if there is a way to change the default font in InDesign? Wanna get away from Times Roman.

Yes

With no documents open at all, open the Paragraph Styles Panel.

Create a new Style and call it something for yourself

Choose your font and away you go.

People might tell you to change the Basic Paragraph Style. DON'T DO THIS. If you open the file up on another computer then that InDesign will use it's own version of the Basic Paragraph Style, which will be different to your own.

When you have the paragraph style made, you can select it. Now every time you create a new document it will use that style and that style will travel with all your documents, as it will be unique.

You can do this with practically all the settings, characters, objects, tables, swatches etc.
