DBMaintenance Utility will not run

Has anyone seen the following errors when trying to run the dbmaintenance utility?

When I try to run the DBMaintenance utility without connection parameters I get "No connection parameter supplied, Trying to fetch from Registry-Failed to open connection to database" When I try using the connection parameters with Server, database account and password I get "Failed to open connection to database" error. When you look into the DBMaintenanceTool.Log the error is listed as [CDBMaintenance::OpenSQLConnection] CoCreateInstance()failed.

Are you tried to open by Management Studio SQL?

No, the DBMaintenance Utility that I was trying to run was the utility that comes on the CommVault CD.

Problem was resolved after the following patches were applied on the CommVault server. Not sure exactly which one resolved problem.

Loaded SQL 2005 Service Pack 3
.Net Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2
Loaded Microsoft Server 2003 KB956802, 955839, 958215, 958687, 958690, 960225, 960714, 967715, 950582, 94228_V4, 952069
