I was under the impression ver 7.1 handled the new day light saving times? I have 2 of them that kicked in to day light saving this weekend, it should have not?

I will check if I was sold the correct version.

Maybe they were 7.0.

I had complaints too but they were 7.0 and under.
Normaly it would have been last weekend but I here time changes this weekend.....not sure why they extended it only a week though if this is the case.

7.1 provides three DST options of None, Standard and Extended. The default is Standard. North America is using Extended. I think that most people upgraded to 7.1 for Extended DST, but did not realize that the default is still Standard.

Congress, via the ENERGY POLICY ACT OF 2005. It amended the "Uniform Time Act" of 1966. Of course, the President signed it, but the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate both passed the bill and sent it to the president to sign.

It was part of a broader "Energy Policy Act" that changed many things. The DST fiasco was just one part of it.

Personally I would prefer it to not have any time change. If people are worried about the darkness in the morning then change office hours, most businesses set their hours to satisfy themselves anyway, and if parents are worried about it being dark when the kids go to school get the school board to change class times.

Of course, it is useually a few service calls forr me anyway.
