data suppressed on group selection

When I am selecting data from two tables th efollowing
happens:
1. when the link is from txn table(vouchdt) to balance table
(baldt)
the data from txn works
2. when the link is from balance to txn table then
data from bal table shows
I am using CR given with Visual Basic 5.

Do we have any upgrade to this versions

no...I don't think there is a problem with a version here.

I have two tables
one is a txn table and other balance table
the txn table gets updated for every transaction
the balance table gets updated only once per day
the sum of the trnasactions for the day gets updated
in the balance col of the balance table

suppose i want to take a report as on 30th Arpil then
the opening balance col should show the balance as on
31st March and the receipts for the month( a diff col)
and then the closing bal is the total fo the opening bal
and the receipts for the month

When the report is as on 31st May then the op bal as on
30th april and so on respectively.
the op bal is to be calculated from the balance updation
in the bal table upto the previous month
the month receipts from the txn table
