and the switch still thinks the trunk is assigned?

If you have other trunks in this route, you can end everything on this board and re-initiate them, then see if your printout is correct. Otherwise, you can re-initiate just the trunk in question and verify whether or not it carries any traffic -- if it does, then there is something amiss with the PU's that have to do with the print commands.

If the trunk does not carry traffic or can't be direct-selected, then you may have a data mismatch.

You could also try that board & trunks in another slot if you have availability.
