I have a customer who just replaced an old SL1 machine with an Option 11C. The old configuration (on the SL1) for the T1 was set as D4 AMI, but for some reason the on-stie tech can only setup the T1 on the O11 as AMI D3????

All 24 channels are idle, the counters are clean, there is dial tone (when dialing 9 or the ACOD)but when an outbound call is placed an automated message comes up from the carrier with an error code 37-3.

Any help would be appreciated,

thanks

I don't think the two are related. Try direct selecting the trunks and dialing. Check the signaling (ground start, TIE, DID ect.) Code and framing errors will show in the counters. (ld 60 LCNT)

do a trad x x on the trunk in 80.. look at dsel. that may need to be vce or vod depending on the far end.. the direct select is a perfect test (or acod), does the carrier provide international? the dial 9 and get a dialtone is internal and the coding has to be correct (matching) or the t would be down..

We got it, we had to change the Signaling of the trunks to Ldr and the STRI and STRO to imm/imm. Eventhough the signaling on the SL1 was Em4 adn wnk wnk. but Ldr is the answer. Thanks for your help. Also Ami/D3 was also correct

2nd issue has arisen with this problem.

1+ calls all complete correctly, But 011+ calls we get the same recording from the operator 37-3.

All NPA's, NXX's, SPN's are all setup with the correct RLI's and RLB's.

Any suggestions?

SF (superframe) is considered as D4 framing in the 11. So instead of D3 change it to SF it does make difference.

i've never changed framing on just one end of a ckt.. might be worth a try but the t will not stay up if they do not match.. can you dial the acod plus international.. does your provider offer international? not all do and others do but want a unique dial string

I could not set up D4 or SF on option 11 (TMDI card NTRB21AC)The closest thing was AMI/D3. Enen GNTS could not get D4 or SF on the config. As soon as I tell it AMI it Does not give me an option to choose my framing. Any thoughts. When I use the ACod+011 I get a message from a carrier that the number I dialed is incorrect.

Everthing worked fine (outbound 1+ and 011+) before the SL1 was changed with the Option 11.
We are using the existing CKT which was previously connected to the SL1.
When dialing the ACOD or 9 + 011 get the same message from the carrier.
Changing the framing won't work like you advised John the circuit drops...

Any thoughts on the question below ? I appreciate it.

I just dialed into an Option 11 running 3.0 and it let me program a TMDI card with D4 framing. Not sure if the lastest software will let you though.

Can you get the carrier to trap an international call to see what you are sending to them?

Thank you all for the feedback. We had to change the Route Dsel to 3VCE and everything is working like a charm. Thank you again.

should have known that happend to me about a year ago and if I remember I think john came up with that for me to try. oh weel live and learn glad you got it going.
