This is something i've not seen before. My cursor is bouncing around in the field of a form. generally it is moving to the right most of the field as I enter information into it. Doesnt seem to matter if its a text field or a date field. I have tried using different fields as the control source with the same behaviour. I have even create new text boxes on the form to test and it still happens. It's happening to several of the fields in the form. Any clue as to what to look for that could cause this to happen?

turns out it had to do with the clock. Got it solved.

What exactly do you mean by "jumping around"? Can you describe this in a bit more detail?

Does it only happen with numeric fields? When you first put focus in the field, does the cursor move towards the right-hand end, but not quite at the right-most position? If so, that's the normal behaviour. The point is that numeric fields are right-justified (by default), and Foxpro positions the cursor in that way so that the number remains right-justified after each keypress.

If that's not what you want, I think you can override it with a setting of the Format and/or Inputmask properties, but I'm not sure exactly what those settings are. I've always just accepted the default behaviour - as do my users once I explain the reason to them.

It seems "thisform.tdisplay.refresh" was in the timer and not the init. I think that's what it was.
