CS 1000 restore from backup 1

I am trying to make some changes in my CS1000. I have a copy of saved database on a separate SD card. I was wondering if it is possible to bring config back from SD card if anything goes wrong. If yes then what would be the procedure. I really appreciate your helping replies.

You would just boot from the install and load the database only. There is an option for that.

If things get scary after your changes, as long as you didn't do an EDD, you could just INI or SYSLOAD the system to kick out your changes.

Thanks Janaya. I was asking because if I do a EDD or auto EDD after changes and somebody complains next day that something is not working. I am considering worst case scenario so that system can be restored to original state after EDD or 24-48 hours after making changes.

No. Make a backup before you make your changes. If you wait until the next day, the system will EDD during the Midnight routine. At that point an INI or SYSLOAD won't help, you will have to restore the backup.

Once you make your backup, before your changes, take that media and store it. If you have the ability save two in the off chance the corruption gremlins get a hold of your backup media. Also just keep good records of what you do if you have to back out manually.
