Crystal Report Developer Edition fails to install.

I have no previous version on my system. My OS is ME, have plenty of disk space.

I can not install my Development edition. Says file not found and does not give me the option to find the files that are on the CD. I emailed the tech support at Crystal 12/26 and got an incident number but have not heard from them. Do they usually have this lack of response to a new user of their product?

I would appreciate any help you guys could give.

The poor timeliness of their response is likely due to the holidays.

Are you installing CR 9?

I haven't read of a problem, do you have sufficient rights on the machine to install?

It is a home computer with OS ME. It begins its installed gets to block 3 on the top menu and starts looking for the files in the jviewer directory. (note: These files are there.) Displays the file "filename" can not be found. abort, ignore, cancel. If I ignore the displays continue for other files. I, also, can not copy the CD to my hard disk. Errors on the copy.

thanks, guys. Finally heard from Crystal. It was my OS (ME)trying to install ASP service. Did a custom install removing this from the install and it installed. I will patching tonight. has a 14 MB on their web site.
