cron job order

In what order are jobs in the cron.daily directory run? I'm assuming (and we know what that does) they are run in the order they are listed with ls.

And, what order are cron.daily, cron.hourly, cron.monthly, and cron.weekly run? Again, I am assuming they are run in the same order they are listed with ls.

Prolly alphabetical, like ls.
If in doubt, check cron logs or man pages.
