We have an existing phone system (Prologix R7) that uses (4) phantom extensions, 5901, 5902, 5903, 5904 for Call Park. I need to duplicate this service on another PBX (CM3.1) for the same call park application but cannot figure out how to create a phantom extension. When I do a list extension 5901, it shows "phantom extension".
Can someone guide me on how to create this?

Thanks!

I think the Phantom extensions are configured in the "console parameters" screen and are called common shared extensions. You need to input a "start number" and then a "count number" in the next field, so in your example above you would input 5901 count 4 to give you the 4 phantom extensions to park calls against. Sorry i cant be a bit more specific but i dont have a CM to reference it with at the moment and am working from memory.

Thank you for these great tips, now, however, when I want to place a parked call, I was told that I hit the transfer, call park feature (*4 in our FAC)and the extension I want to park the call on - x5901. When I hit the transfer and call park feature, I get 3 beep tones (usually meaning transaction completed successfully) and I cannot enter in the extension that I want to park the call on.
Any ideas?
