I'm using CountFlag in a report so I can print different information on side-by-side labels. The report is fine except identical data is displayed side-by-by side. Can you explain how CountFlag works?

I think most people will be asking you to explain what CountFlag is. I've never heard of it, and am certain it's not a Crystal function.

Have you copied a formula that features a variable called CountFlag and just want to understand what it's doing? If so, paste your formulas in your post so someone can help you.

The CountFlag command actually came from someone in this forum and I'm trying to figure out why it won't work! I can't find any info either.

"Flags" are just variables that are used to keep track of events.

A countFlag would be created by the developer to keep track of records for example. They may want to do something special after X number of records have been printed. It could also be used to print an alert if Y number of occurances of a certain value were reached.

Flags are also used for suppression of lines...just flipping between 0 and 1 or true and false.

Fags are not Crystal functions they are developer creations Jim Broadbent
