i have a report (that i changed dynamically with a form) and i have a count() at the end. well, it should read 368 total records if you select all, but it only has 198...anyone heard of something similar????

What is your exact syntax? Try:
=Count(*)
or
=Sum(1)

Also, where is the expression. It should be in the Report Header or Footer. Not a Group or Page Header/Footer.

it's in the report footer...my syntax is :

=Count([Order_number])

i got it to work somewhat...turns out my sql was wrong...but now it only works if i select all fields. If i try to filter the report based on an integer field (it is either 1 or 2) than it will only return part. It returns all records with 2, but only half with 1. what gives? any ideas?

i think i may have misled....sorry....as it turns out...it's my sql that is wrong...the report just isn't pulling all the data that meets the criteria of my sql....and i dont know why. it pulls up part of the records, but not all. makes no sense. i did a query analyze, an sql trace and an estimated execution plan, and they didn't help. i am querying an integer field.

You can post the question in the query forum or try posting your sql for the query here and I'm sure someone will be able to sort it out.
