Hi,

I keep getting a corrupt table. I have a front end and a back end. The front-end has one form with a sub-form. Sometimes seemingly randomly when entering data to the sub-form an error message pops up saying the record is deleted and all of the text boxes show #DELETED#. When i go into the back-end to delete the record it does not delete properly. If i close the table and re open it the record is still there. I've figured out how to get rid of it. I have to compact and repair while the table is still open, this is the only way of deleting the record. What I can't figure out is how to prevent this from happening. Its happening almost every day now. Currently we are using Access 2003.

Thanks,

Any help much appreciated.

The way I've figured out is by opening the table, deleting it as normal and then compacting and repairing the database while the table is still open. This produces a new delete-able record with each field consisting of "##########".

It only works if the table is still open on screen when I repair. If I delete the record and then close the table before repairing it doesn't work.
