Hello, SSRS 2005. I want to copy an entire existing report into the same project. I have another report to create and I want all the expressions, groupings, everything to come over. I'll be tweaking it from there. What is the best way to do this? Thank you.

Right click the report in solution explorer, select copy. Paste it back into the project.

Dunno if its the same in 2005 but in 2000 - you have to paste it into the "PROJECT" as opposed to the report list

Rgds, Geoff

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

Huh. Thanks Guys. Not sure what's different, but last time I tried that, the expressions didn't come over. This time it worked fine, all the datasets came over and the expressions. I only got an option to paste at the main Project level, not at the report folder level. When I right-clicked at the report folder, paste wasn't an option. I'm not sure how I would paste other than at the project level. But I'm good and this is so much easier than the way we had been doing it. Thanks a lot.
