Converting Indesign to PageMaker?

I'm probably asking this in the wrong place, but I have a job that I did originally in InDesign. As I mentioned before I was going to switch to InDesign and then discovered after buying it, that there is absolutely no support for the program around here.

Now I want to move it to PageMaker, and it is going to convert from a four page wide spread to 8 individual pages with different margins, etc.

I was hoping that I could copy the text to the clipboard in Indesign and paste it into PageMaker. I don't care about the formatting the copy has been changed so many times on the computer that I don't have real copy anywhere else. Well you can't cut and paste the copy. Of course you can actually open a PageMaker job in InDesign but not the other way around.

The graphics I don't care about I can just place them from the original job, but how can I get the copy out of InDesign in a form that will let me place it in PageMaker?

I found the answer on the InDesign Forum.

It's simply a matter of pasting it from InDesign to Word, and then placing it in PageMaker.

Mike,

You could create a PDF file from ID and place that in the PM doc. Or.. since you are making a PDF... send that to the printer. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
