I have a product database in which I have a container field which stores an image of the relevant product. In order to export the database for use on our website, I need to export just a reference to the image file. I have tried numerous methods, but I can't find a way of having a field which will display (or export) the file reference. I know that you have the option to just store the reference to the file when you insert a picture, but I haven't found a way to access that reference.
Ideally, I want to be able to insert the picture in the container field, and at the same time automatically store the file reference in another field. Then when I come to export, I will just have to export the image reference field along with a folder containing all the images.
In the help files, I've found something saying 'container fields can be used in calculations' but nothing to say how.
It must be possible, surely?! Can anyone help?
