connection timing out?

Why would my application connection to database server is timing!! is there a reason!! i am trying to figure out but not able to figuring out so asking here.

If this is an Access application using linked tables, the connection will fail/timeout if a running stored procedure or pass-thru query encounters a nonfata SQL server error.

the application build in C++ and database is on sql2000? but somehow it is timing out!! don't know why? what could it be

code meaing = IDispatch error # 3121

Doesn't matter really if it's C or Access - are you running a stored proc or query from it?

both but mostly query. and sometimes stored proc.

Run both in enterprise manager query analyzer. If it throws any nonfatal errors that is probably the trouble.
