i received one project that needs me to retrieve info from paradox database (i dunno which version) by using VB.net as my front end.
my question is how do i do the connection to the DB? i onli need to access a single table and for retrieving data onli. Is there any OLEDB Driver that i can use?
thanx!

Jayson_13,

I'm sorry, but this forum provides support for Corel's Paradox for Windows, a database management software package that uses (among other formats) the Paradox table format, as well as older versions of the same package published by COrel, Borland, and Ansa.

Consequently, there aren't a lot of VB.Net experts that hang out. Your best bet for a reliable answer is to post your question in one of the VB forums.

However, I believe there is an ODBC (or whatever the acronym is in .Net) driver available for your use. You'll need to define a User DNS that points to your .DB file(s), but once you've done that (and gotten it working), you should be able to use the standard techniques you're already familiar with to access the data in the .DB file(s).

Hope this helps...
