Connecting to MySQL

For those of you who are afraid to step up to the challenge of upgrading databases and are still using Access should think about switching to MySQL.

Access isn't a very good idea the main reason is, if a lot of users are using it at once it can become corrupt!

MySQL isn't at all hard to setup, I have written a tutorial on the whole process, along with tips to make it easier. I even show you how to import your access database, and in your website connection string you only have to change one line.. pretty simple!

Yes I did Vote but what I found interesting is the poll on MYSQL.com about the size of shirts people wear either people in IT like to wear their shirts big or there are a lot of fat guys. AJ

Thanks for your helpful post. I just start using an application that uses Java to connect to MySQL on an W2K server. What kind of combo is that!! Been learning Java at the same time. Wish me luck!
