Ok great minds I need your help.

I have been tasked with setting up our Polycom Sound Station (an analog conference room phone thing) so that our Board of Directors can telecommute to their board meeting in two weeks. They want to assign it a DID so when a Director calls they would be automatically be added to the call in progress.

I don't think I can do what they want with what we have so work around options are good.

They are meeting in a building that is to far from the switch to put a digital phone (I need to verify this because we have switched from an Option 21 to an 11)

We have an Option 11 Rel 3, Sound Station and ReparteeLX Ver 8 for autoattendant and voicemail.

How can I make this work?

Thanks,
Barry

Use a Conference bridge. If you have one internally every one just calls in to it and you are good. If you don't have one, then you can call AT&T (or other providers) and they will set one up for you, at a cost of course, but for the board of directors, it might be an easy thing to sway. Usually they come with a toll free number to use for everyone to dial in with, which makes things a little easier on those that might be travelling.

The book is telling me to go into LD 15 and add new NIT data, will this affect my current NIT data?

I have good news, I don't have host the technical part of conference call! (denomination HQ does that for us).

Thank you all and sorry to waste anyone's time on my now non-existent problem.

Next time, for sure use a hosted meet-me conference service. Half the time they are cheaper than dialing direct. Nowaways, there is almost no financial justification to own a conference bridge. You tell me your LD rates, and I will find a conference service that is cheaper. You name your own price these days.
