Hi

Is it possible to work around the limitation of 6 parties per conference. For Example, could I set up two conferences on separate phones with 5 parties each and conference the phones together giving me 12 parties?

If not, is there any adjunct hardware or system that would allow me to create conferences for more than 6 people?

Don't know about the putting two extension together, but there is hardware out there. Conference Brdiges will allow 12, 24 or more participants on the conference call, but they are VERY expensive... Might try one of many conference call companies that will allow you to use there lines with moderators or without... My company uses them to solve this ver problem.

In the new releases of Definity, 11 maybe earlier...there is a feature called meet me conferencing...

It is a Right to use feature...

It will solve your problem...works like a conference bridge, but requires no additional hardware...

I've read that Meet Me can still only take 6 parties. However, does this allow for the workaround I've posted above?

That sounds like a possible workaround.
If you try it let us all know if it works.

Here's a solution I just came across:
It's called cascading conference. Following my example above, it will only work if the call between the 2 conferences goes out and in on a trunk, ie you can’t connect the 2 conferences by an internal call. This will give a total of 10 people because 1 party in each conference is used for cascading the 2 conferences together.

Hope this helps anyone else out there with this problem.
