Conditional Formatting

Why is it when I create a new Style in conditional formatting and then open the file with another computer on the network, the style no longer is there? I am working with Impromptu 6. Thanks.

You'd have to copy your styles to the other computer.

Unless it's the default styles that come with Impromptu.

Is there any way to do it where anyone who cared to open the file would load up my styles (or possibly any changes to the default styles) and it would already be in there.

Only if you use software distribution and have everyone receive an updated Impromptu.ini file.

Theoretically you could attach a macro to your report that would pull the Impromptu.ini file from a universal location. Or have the macro modify the Impromptu.ini file. Either way they would need to restart Impromptu to have the changes take effect though.

hmm.. Ok, is it possible to set something up so regardless of what style you choose, only the patterns are implemented (e.g. all of the font is 12 point black regardless of conditional format, but if you choose Column Title Emboss, the background will turn black as well)?
