We have an issue where I can see from the logs that the companding is switching from a-law to u-law and back again during calls. During a screened transfer it is staying at u-law. This is causing problems for our voice recorder as it won't accept companding changes during an active rtp stream.
The CUCM guys are saying that this is normal and cannot be changed on the call manager. I've always understood that u-law is used in north america and u-law is used in the UK and they shouldn't be mixed.
Can anyone advise please? (CUCM is v6.5)
