ComboBox with data 1

I have a combobox instance on stage. I have several lines of AS code that fill the combobox with entries (loadVar, based on external file, creates an array) and appropriate action to take. This works fine.

I then created another file, loaded the above Flash movie into this file, and now none of the data appears in the combobox!

Both files are in the same folder, so file location is not an issue.

I must resolve this issue asap. Please help! Thank you.

two things to try

in the file containing the combo add to the code

myCombo._lockroot = true

if that dont solve it add a combo to the library of the other movie

Tried the first option. And it works - sorta.

I'm able to choose a selection from the dropdown list and it actually works and performs appropriate action!! Hurray! BUT - none of the text shows up in the list. It looks like a blank list, but I know the data is there because it works.

Well, I now tried the second step and added it to my library. And guess what - it works! Many, many thanks for your help! I have given you a star because your help has proved to be most valuable to me!
