new to coldfusion but are obtaining a functioning coldfusion application from a member police agency. i am reading the installation guide for cf mx7 and note that the instrauctions state "not to install cf on a server that is operating as a primary or backup domain controller". why this restriction? can it be installed and function properly? otherwise i will have to purchase a pc/server just to run this application.
i am running other apps on my pdc.
o/s is windows 2003.

We have CF running on a BDC and don't seem to be having issues. We are also running SQL on the same box, but it's not something I'd suggest. I think the PDC/BDC issue is dependant on your environment. I you are large enough and the PDC/BDCs are doing a lot of work, it would be better to separate the duties.
