code to update table in RS

I need to add logic to a checkbox in a report (currently an "X" from a smallint column) which updates the table if the box is marked/clicked. I don't see a context where I could include a sql update statement, any hints/suggestions/links would be appreciated.

I don;t believe you can do that in RS. RS is a data reader. You would need to host the report in some form of interactive app (VB / .NET / .ASP) to do something like that

The only "Action" you get natively in RS is to jump to a hyperlink / report.
