I'm having trouble getting a BCM400 to present CLI to an NTL Telewest exchange over PRI. Their support team tell me that I need to send 10 digits with national dialing plan. In Elements Manager under Telephony / Dialing Plan / Public Network I've got Public Received Number Length set to 10 and Public Network Dialing Plan set to National. No joy. Anyone know whether there are any other settings that I need to change? Is there a way to monitor what the BCM is sending to the exchange to try to diagnose the problem?

Under each phone there is something called OLI public enter the 10 digit number you want to go out.

In the BCM Monitor, there is a UIP tab. This tool will let you monitor in real time infomation being sent out on the DCH.

cook1082: I forgot to mention that I had entered the 10 digit number that I wanted to be presented into the OLI Public field for each extension.

dwpoole: Thanks for the tip about UIP. If only I knew about that a month ago I could have saved a whole load of grief!

The problem has been resolved. It looks like I needed to perform a reset after having changed the Public Network Dialing Plan from its old setting. Many thanks for your help.
