Hi all,

I was wondering if its possible to clear all styles from a certain place, like a div.

I want to have style sheets for my whole page except for one div, where I would like the browser defaults.

Is this possible, any ideas or links or anything is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

Unless you decide to give every other element on a page a class, I guess it is not possible. Though, if your div is at the end of page, you could just wrap the entire page (but this div) in another div with an id and style only elements in that div. But I never heard a way of cancelling styles for an element.

Vragabond:

Thats a good idea. My div is right in the middle of the page though. If I did something like that it would be pretty sloppy coding. But I might have to resort to that.

Dan:
I'll give it a try on a test page. The reason I ask if there was such a function/property is that there are multiple stylesheets coming in dynamically with the pages I pull, so there will probably be some CSS properties that I have not coded for. Which I might end up giving an 'auto' to every CSS property.

Both we're great alternatives, and I'll give them a try and see if I can figure something out.

Thanks for the responses.

Matt
