I am hoping someone can help me out w/a CIPC issue.
I have a Mac Book Pro that I installed VMWare Fusion on and am running XP pro. I installed the IP Communicator on it and when i kick it off it tries to register and keeps trying to register. The CIPC is set up on other laptops and works fine but not in a virtualized environment. The VM Client is set for NAT. Has anyone had experience w/ this and can tell me what other settings to check?

dpu,

Bet it's the NAT. Can you set your VM to bridged vs. NAT? I have some coworkers that have this setup and it works. Alternatively you can try to VPN from the client VM and see if that works - it's essentially bypassing the NAT.

Ok. I will try that. I have the Cisco VPN client loaded on the host OS (mac OS X) and VPN in that way. Then I just launch the VM guest (Xp Pro) and it passes the VPN info to it from the host. I'll try switching to bridged and using the VPN from w/in the VM client instead to see if that works.
