Checking if a value has changed 1

Is there a way in Crystal to check a value in real time?

What I mean by this is a value I have in the details section will replicate until the new value is displayed, what I want the report to do is to be able o tell when that value has changed?

Any help is appreciated.

What causes the value to change?

Also, basic info please:
Version of CR
Database ( Type and version)
Source of value in question.

If you mean a field in a section, sure, you can easily do so, eithe rin advance by one row, during, or after.

The functions are NEXT() and PREVIOUS()

So you can have a formula of:

if next(table.field} <> {table.field} then
"It changed"
else
"Same ole..."
