Hello all!

Got an odd one that I'm hoping someone else may've seen before.
I've got a CR 9 user that is having difficulty selecting the different tabs when she tries to update chart parameters. She clicks on the different tabs but they won't come up.

We're running CR9, connecting to SQL2K data in a Win2K (server/workstation) environment. Thanks!!

Dear ddrake,

I don't understand what you mean...

There is no such thing as chart parameters. Do you perhaps mean the tabs in the Chart Expert?

ro

Dear Ddrake,

Ok, I see I am going fishing.

So the user wants to change an option or options in one of the tabs.

Are you saying that when the user clicks on the tab, the tab refuses to display?

Have you done any testing and have you observed the user?

Observe the user ...

are they really clicking where they say there are clicking?
are they perhaps right-clicking when they should be left clicking?

Can you reproduce this behavior at the user's workstation for any report? Or is it just one report?

If you open up the report on your machine, does the behavior still occur?

If you can reproduce it for the report anywhere the report is opened, but it does not happen on other reports, I would say the report is corrupted somehow and to rebuild it and move on.

If the issue happens for any report with a chart on that machine, but does not occur on another machine then I would decide that Crystal itself is corrupted and uninstall, clean out the registry for all references to Crystal and then reinstall.

Regards,

ro

Hi Rosemary,
Apologies for the vague inputs [upsidedown] and thank you very much for the great troubleshooting tips. I'll let you know how it goes! [bigsmile]
