Dear Friends,

i have a copy of my client's database files, but when ever
i am trying to make a progress database server that targets those files it says that the path is not correct (i check this in dos command by using _mprosrv.exe ).

it seems that the original path is saved somewhere in data files and the problem is that the original path is N:\...
(Which is a drive in my client's computer. But i have N: drive in network, and out of my studies it
seems that database server and data files in a LAN NETWORK should be in one computer,...so my second thought is to change that original path that is saved somewhere in datafiles and i have to do it while those files are offlines...can anybody help???

greetings and thanks

installed progress version: 9.1C(full Installation)
My machine: Windows xp
network machine: windows

Have you had much experience with Progress? You might want to check the Progress Administration Guide and/or the Environments Guide if you have one available. All the information should be contained therein.

If your data & bi are in the same directory:
create a db.st file with this:
d .\
b .\

Or the .\ can be the path of where the data & bi are...

Then open a CMD window, cd to the directory where your db is (the db.st file should be here too). run:
d:\dlc\bin\prostrct repair dbname db.st

Good luck!
