CHANGE MODEM PORT

I am running Windows ME on an ASUS 800 PIII. I need to change the port my modem ( US Robotics 56K Voice PCI)is presently using.Presently, it is on port 5 and I wish to change it to 2,3,4. I understand this one is software driven .

I have attempted to change it under Properties of the modem but it won't allow this to happen :-(

I welcome any suggestion...the easier being best???

Boot to safe mode.
Remove all modems and com ports in device manager.
Restart, reinstall.
If you want it on com 1 or 2, you'll have to DISable them in BIOS setup first!
