I'm curious to find out if anyone recommends one type of training material over the other based on cost or quality of material.
Some of you have recommended Mike Meyers Passport books, which seem like a great deal for great material. But does anyone know about the CBT Nuggets exam prep CDs? I'm sure they're good study material also, but I'm wondering I can get the same quality of information from books.
I'm not looking for a cheap way to get by, just a practical way to succeed in a cost effective manner.
Thanks! Bob

As one who is fixing to take the test, I feel both media have been important to my studies. Though having books to study my weak points has been a plus.

I have found the classroom to be the best but CD's are easier than the book. Anyway, just remember, even if you pass by just memorizing the sample exams, you must understand the material to keep the job.

The best way to succeed in these exams is by DOING....use a computer and tear it apart and understand how it works....use books or cd's to help you..

Good luck Kimber

The more I learn, the more I realize how much more there is to know!

Just remember that certification has gotten to be BIG business. I have always found that books along with a few study guides and the internet to be the best resources for certification studies. CBT is just a new way to present the same stuff we've been learning from books for years. While there is no one "silver bullet" that will provide all your training needs, I find that a couple of good books, the exam objectives & a good search engine are all you need to know it all. I highly recommend Cramsession study guides for all certifications.
