has it changed any
(ie gotten any simpler?)

i have a need to 2-3 days of cdr records at a customers
i think the last time i did anything with cdr on key systems was a norstar?

The quickest way I know would be to log onto the BCM via Element Manager and carry out a full backup and make sure that the CDR Box is ticked.

It's always good to take regular backups and when saving the file onto your computer to add the .tar file extension at the end.

Once you have got the backup, then open up the zipped file using the *.tar file extension using any compatible app such as 7zip etc.

Save all the extracted files and folders and do a search for (I think?) "Call Detail Recording" etc.

You should find many files with the file name based on the same date as some for be for hunt groups access etc. You should be able to figure out which ones are the call details and I think it's tagged with .ccr.

I'm doing this answer from memory and using my phone, so I can't be specific but I think this should get you to the right area to get the CDR information.

Don't forget (because your no longer prince charming) in case your trying to see call volume and they are full AA, you also get some non clid basic reports for the last 7 days from CallpilotManager/Reports

Reports:

Directory •

Mailbox Information •

All Mailbox Activity •

Reset Mailbox Activity •

Event Log •

CCR Tree Usage •

PortUsage/CallHandling •

Fax Usage •

System Configuration •

Message Usage •

Advanced Paging Productivity Pack •

Per Firebirdscrambler the file name is cdr.tar
The full path is \cdr.tar\cdr\var\nn\CDRDataFiles

Once you extract that twice you will the list in CDRDataFiles
You want the fist batch shown, Record.XXXXXXXXXXXX (date/time) files

If not done for you, rename the files needed to .txt:
Record.20221028003001 to Record.20221028003001.txt

Thanks, i backup up just now
they're brand spanking new expensive billing server crashed
(second one in 7 months)
so they lost 3 days of invoicing
so they are trying to match caller ID to invoice orders

they figured CLID with CDR would help detail everything

The server dude and i will work on extracting it all in the morning once he reports for work and gives me a network folder to shove it on

Thanks again
