Okay I have a really quick question... I searched the forums for how far cat5e cables should be from electrical lines but couldnt find the answer. I'll be running 4 runs of Cat5e in an unfinished attic and I know there are rules that say Cat5e should be like 6" from electrical lines... can anyone tell me the exact rule on this?
Thanks

I've kept my runs to the other side of the stud that supports the elec. wall box and never had a problem...just stay away from any lines that may pull a surge like attic fans or refrigerators....

Last I knew it was 6". However I attempt to stay further away if possible.
