Hi

I'm trying to connect Nortel option 11c with card NTAK79BC to Asterix using QSIG, is it possible? I've found that it can support Q.931 by moving the switch1-2 but I'm not pretty short that will make it capable of all QSIG protocol stack.

Thanks for answering.

The NTAK79 PRI Card does not support QSIG, It supports DASS, DPNSS and 'Q931', which is the Nortel Propriety version of Q931, now referred to as MCDN. You need a NTBK50 PRI card with a NTBK51 daughterboard for QSIG, If there are no other PRI cards in system you will also need a Clock Controller daughterboard.

Thanks a lot for answering MossEng, now I have another question, the Q931 version of Nortel can support communication with Elastix or Asterisk, I have been reading that it doesn't support Euro-ISDN but it could be possible a configuration with another type of ISDN?

Thanks a lot, but right now I can´t just change the card, I need to make the comunication with Asterisk with this card, I'll try with the nest configuration, it seems to work with the NI2 (National ISDN2) but I'm not really sure if the card will support this ISDN.

Bye the way, the card has th eoption to work with DASS/DPNSS1 or Q931, wich one shall I choose when configuring it to work with NI2? The DCH condiguration looks like this.

Actually I got it from another post where they discovered the communication works just fine when using NI2 beween Nortel and Asterisk. Thanks a lot again.
