HI Folks,
I have a capture file open that continuously captures data from a 5ess. It seems that the info is being "buffered" and only written to the file every 30 minutes. Is there a way to have the capture file update every minute?
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, this is not configurable. It is my understanding a capture file is only updated when it is actually closed, which leaves you vulnerable to losing data if Procomm would crash, the machine reboot, etc. You could use the capture OFF/capture ON commands to close and reopen the capture file. You would want to add the clear command in between those two commands because whatever is on the screen when the capture file is reopened would be inserted (again) into the capture file. This would cause a blank screen or so to be added to the capture file, but is the only workaround I am aware of.

Knob, thanks so much for answering so quickly. All day I have been monitoring the folder that contains my capture file and the date modified updates about every 25-30 minutes with no one opening the file.
