Cannot ping by computername or connect with UNC after VPN connection

I have the following config.
After I connect by PIX 515E VPN I can ping servers in the internal network, by IP, but cannot ping by computername, or connect to a remote resource within the LAN using UNC. I have checked both DNS and WINS in my W2k environment and they are working fine. PLease help.

make sure the vpn client points to the remote network DNS. what do you get if using nslookup command?
