cannot open mailbox !!!

Hi there,

I've configured virtual mail account using sendmail and it was working fine all these days.

After some time(months) when try to open, it's saying "cannot open mailbox /var/spool/vmail/..."

The size of the mailbox seems to be large. All I have to do is to remove all most all mails from mailbox using some text editor and save.

Now, it's working fine.

Is there any other work around please??
