If so, how?

I know this is vague, but I am attempting to concatenate two fields together to use in a drop down parameter field. For instance...I have a customer number 12345678 and customer name...Joe's Plumbing. I have combined these two fields to read 12345678 Joe's Plumbing, now I want to create a parameter on this new field, but Crystal does not offer this field as an option when setting default values on my parameter.

Any insight will be appreciated.

This is not pretty.

You can have 123456 as a parameter value and Joe's Plumbing as the description field for the parameter, but you cannot automatically populate the description field the way you can the parameter default values. Software Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

You can populate them both, dgillz, if you use the import file.

So one option is to build a text file out of these values and import them.

It's just a Tab delimited file in the following format:

%%%%ShowDescOnly 0
Choice 1 Choice 1 description
Choice 2 Choice 2 description

Another option is to create a View to cocncat these fields and use that to import into the parm.
