Can not access folder within a Users directory 1

Hey everyone

I am new to the Server environment (Windows 2000 Server) so forgive my lack of knowledge in this area.

The problem I am having seems like a very simple one, that I have not been able to solve. I create a new user and with in the "profile" settings I give a path for the users profile. I then have the client(user) login and logout to create the profile on the server. When I go to look at the folder on the server that holds the profile, I am denied access.I can see the inside the username folder and see that the profile folder was created, but am unable to see inside the folder. If I look at the folder thru the clients comptuer (network neighborhood) I am able to see the contents just fine.

Background:

I am running Windows 2000 server (sp4) with active directory
I login into the server with Administrator and domain admin rights
The client has admin rights on the client machine but only domain User rights on the server.
Profile path is "\\server\share\username\profile" I have added the profile folder within the user folder to keep it cleaner.

Any suggestions what I am doing wrong?????????

Your not doing anything wrong. Even with full domain admin rights you wont be able to see inside the users folder. When the folder was created, the user was given ownership of the folder. To see inside the folder you would need to take ownership of the folder, or change the security to give your admin account desired access to the folder.
