Hi, i have a problem, and i am hoping somebody could help me. I have and Opt. 11c that about once a week i see:

TRA000
.TRAK 1 5

ACTIVE TN 001 0 00 05

ORIG TN 002 0 00 04 COT RMBR 0 4 INCOMING TRUNK CALL
TERM TN 001 0 00 05 COT RMBR 0 5 OUTGOING TRUNK CALL
DIAL DN 915032980708
MAIN_PM ESTD
TALKSLOT ORIG 42 TERM 42
QUEU NONE
CALL ID 0 60

When i check the Trunks with my buttset while the call is in progress, there is nobody there, its dead air. I thought maybe a hardware issue so i replaced the trunk cards, when that didn't work i moved the trunks onto different cards, into different routes, and even different Cab. i have 14 loop start pots line going to this unit, and its the same 4 lines that get looped together. This started about 6 months ago, at first it wasn't as frequent as once a week, more like once a month. The only change we have had was that we upgraded from Mermail to Call Pilot 4.0 about a year ago. No phones have Call Forward calls to external, and i have external dialing block in call pilot. Does anybody have any ideas? My idea pot is running a little dry with this.

Thank you for any advice you can give.

AS LONG AS YOU HAVE LOOP START TRUNKS YOU WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM, GROUND START WILL FIX IT

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

That isn't the answer i wanted to hear PERRYPJ! haha. thanks for the quick reply. i am working on getting ground start trunks, but the phone company in my area, small costal town in Washington, is having problems getting the ground start to work, big problem been working on this for a year, I guess there system is really old. But if it was only the loop start trunks causing this, how come the other 10 lines are not doing this, its only those 4 lines, and its always the same 2 trunks looped together.

when two loop start trunks hang, nothing tears them down.. i would check the rdb and make sure ndec and fdec are eth and asup is no... best bet is to get rid of them or call the provider and change then to ground.. you can do a timed force disconnect and set that timer (tfd) out to 10 minutes or more.. that tears down any connection.. but it does not check for conversation

If you call the number for the trunk hooked-up to tn 2 4, where does the call go? or who picks it up?

The lines that get tied-up, is it always the same dialed dn?

Maybe an unsupervised transfer or conference?

Maybe off base a little, but look in your CDB and do not allow trunk to trunk transfers.

MIKE

you can block that if your not using it cfxa or menus that dial external.. even answering services will be a problem... we have some doctors office that cfxa to answering services due to on call schedules
